The Mountain Valley Developmental Services, located in Glenwood Springs, Colo., provides support services for individuals with developmental disorders. It helps in enhancing the individual ability to live, learn and work in an independent and inclusive manner and educates the community about their contributions and capabilities. It provides its support services to individuals with any disorder that originated between birth and 21 years of age and constitutes any handicap attributable, mental illnesses and related conditions. It also provides services to children upto 5 years old suffering from delays in development, birth complication, postnatal trauma and mental illnesses. The center provides enrichment various programs including self-expression program through visual art, dance, music, theater and textile arts, and life skills enhancement programs through literacy training and computer skills. In addition, the Mountain Valley Developmental Services provides health and fitness program through swimming, aerobics, horseback riding, walking biking, fishing, hiking, skiing and dancing lessons.
