She is so capable and really cares about her patients. Dr. Geiger stayed after hours to see me- I wasn't even her patient yet! I had a medical emergency with symptoms of retinal tear and she agreed to wait for me for 30 minutes until I could drive to her office. I arrived around 5:30 and she gave me a very thorough exam and diagnosed me with retinal tear; then she called down to Northwestern University Med Center to talk with the fellow on call for retinal speciality. He advised that he wanted me to be seen that evening downtown. The next day I met with a retinal specialist Dr. Alice Lyon who diagnosed retinal tear needing laser treatment and completed at that time. Needless to say due to Dr. Geiger's dedication, I was able to keep my tear from progressing to retinal detachment. What more can you ask from a doctor but to be an expert in her field while having compassion and a Five Star bed side manner!!
