Established in 1969, the Glenside Fire Protection District focuses on the protection of the lives and properties of more than 29,000 residents. The district employs over 40 staff members and provides firefighting services in Glendale Heights and Glen Ellyn in Illinois. It operates through various stations and responds to emergency situations. The Glenside Fire Protection District offers medical services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The district maintains a fleet of fire engines, ambulances and water tankers. It also educates people and investigates cases. The district operates a fire prevention bureau that is responsible for providing administrative support and code development and enforcement. It is a part of The Village of Glendale Heights in Illinois.
