The organization helps in solving various murder, armed robbery, forgery, rape, fraud, drug sale and assault cases. It accepts donations and is a part of the Glendale Police Department, which supports the Neighborhood Watch program, as well as has a K-9 unit. The department provides law enforcement, crime prevention and fingerprinting services. It maintains a police records bureau and offers traffic regulation services. The Glendale Police Department is governed by the City of Glendale in California, which operates planning, community services and human resources departments.
