30 November 2014. At 6 PM three of us had our name added to the waiting list for a table. We and at least two other parties waited outside for our names to be called. The young woman at the counter was constantly on the phone taking to go orders. I watched for tables inside to become open and cleaned. After fifty minutes the waiter signaled to me that our table was about ready but then he seated a party of two who were waiting inside. This party of two had only been waiting for about ten minutes. I asked the waiter if he had checked the waiting list. He said that the party of two had been waiting a long time. I told him that they had been waiting for about ten minutes and we had been waiting fifty minutes. He asked the young woman at the counter who was still on the phone for the waiting list. She presented it and it became clear that he should have checked the waiting list before seating the party of two. I told him and the young woman that we would never come there again. I guess it doesn't matter because they are obviously too busy and donât need our business. Itâs sad that a waiter doesnât know to check the waiting list before randomly seating people.
I used to come to this place all the time about a year ago. I moved away and hadn't been there in a while till recently and they have gone downhill fast. The service was horrible. The food was waaaay overcooked and rubbery. They diluted their soy sauce with vinegar and it was totally disgusting. The tables were sticky along with all of the condiment containers. It took them 20 minutes to run my card to pay. I don't know what happened but I will never come back after that.
I have been eating Abacus Inn for about 10 years. I have to say it is wonderful. It is a little cozy hole in the wall Chinese place with a great atmosphere. I love eating at places where the owners are right there working and you can see how much they love their business. My favorites are the egg flower soup and the orange peel chicken. You won't be disappointed!
I have been eating here since it opened. Food is always tastey and service good. Lunch specials are a great value. Highly reccomend Abacus Inn to any and everyone.
My wife and I either eat in or take out on a regular basis and the food is fabulous. The service is always friendly and our take-out orders have been on time. The place is small and unassuming but you'll love it once you try it!! Good family-owned resturants deserve rave reviews and repeat visits :)

The best Chinese food I've had since I moved here in 2004 (moved from the Bay Area, where you get great Chinese). The quality and quantity is suprising! You truly get more than what you pay for. I hadn't had egg foo yung for decades and their Pork foo yung filled the bill. There is only one wish, and that is that the food had more seasoning, however I love strong flavor in my food. However all in all, I highly recommend this restaurant.
I heard some great things about Abacus, but I wasnt really impressed with what I ordered. I ordered a veggie meal where the veggies were suppose to be in a sauce. To me, a sauce is thick, where it coats the food. What was served was more like a soup, rather then a sauce... and the flavor was not quite there... like it was over cooked or burned. Sorry : (
This is the best chinese food i have ever had, it is sooo good, and priced so well. The orange chicken is amazing. You have to try it for yourself!

DO NOT EAT AT ABACUS INN!!! I went there one Monday and was craving it every day that week. The fried rice was the bomb. Crab puffs were of the chain and the egg roll was delicious. Service is good food is excellent!!!

Cannot complain about Abacus Inn. They have great food and the service is great.
This is the best Chinese food in all of Arizona. Try there hot and sour soup. It is the best soup I have ever had. Very inviting atmosphere. I go along most of the time. Very fast service. Very attentive staff. Wonderful family atmosphere. It does not matter what mood in when i go here. But i always leave feeling awesome.
Great food all the time. Sweet and Sour Chicken is great. Even delivers!!! You should not be disappointed. Best in houe WATER... Yes Water - you ever tasted.
My family loves this restaurant. The physical location and decor is nothing fancy but for what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for in food quality. The prices are extremely low for superior quality. All white meat chicken, complimentary hot tea and egg rolls to die for!! Try it, you'll love it too.
