Escape the everyday and explore the rugged beauty of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Amidst the live oak thickets, limestone outcroppings and stands of juniper; nestled away in the rustic hills of Somervell County you will discover a sanctuary for endangered endangered species. Our goal is promoting the preservation and procreation of threatened/endangered species, environmental awareness and a recreational and educational experience for people of all ages. Your journey begins at the Admissions Center where you can purchase feed for the animals and snacks for yourself. We offer a variety of candies, crackers, trail mix and drinks for your ride. We have disposable cameras, film, batteries and a small variety of souvenirs. Youll also receive an animal ID brochure which will help you identify the animals you will see along the tour route. You can also purchase The Animal Guide book or CD, both were created right here by Fossil Rims Education Department.
