Established in 1918, the Glen Rock Police Department maintains social order and peace, as well as provides law enforcement services. The Glen Rock Police Department undertakes various criminal cases and works with other state, local and federal agencies for ensuring the safety of the public. The department supports Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), which is an international education program that seeks to prevent the use of illegal drugs, membership in gangs and violent behavior. Located in Glen Rock, N.J., the Glen Rock Police Department maintains a special police team that serves as an auxiliary and assists the regular police force in emergency situations.
