It’s the dirtiest shop I’ve ever been to in 50 years. Yes Boris Gurgov is a decent barber. But it’s unclean. He’s not clean. From the bathroom to the main room. Dirty, broken down... unclean. Dirty old towels. Old paint is pealing. Dirty looking walls and chairs. Lots of bacteria etc is obvious. The old razor blades he disposed of in a clear Poland spring water bottle. The owner is a hunter of deer and fowl and has dusty dead birds that he’s killed and stuffed hanging on the walls. It’s pretty gross. And pictures of himself with his guns proudly next to a dead deer or buck. A smelly fish tank in need of a cleaning. The shop needs a deep cleaning from from the front to the back and top to bottom. And this deep cleaning needs to be maintained on a daily basis... Also there’s no air conditioning in the summer or heat in the winter. Nice enough guy and a decent barber, but shouldn’t be in business on the North Shore of Long Island if he cannot maintain cleanliness standards. I’ve used barber shops in the Bronx that are spotless next to this place. Very bad... I’d be concerned of future virus contamination in a shop like this. It’s a $16 cut... I get it... but raise your price to $20 and guarantee a safe clean environment for your customers. Anyone who uses this shop is taking their health and well being into their own hands.
Use EuroCuts at your own risk. There are so many other barbers like Vito’s Just up the block, by the train station, who offer a more modern and clean experience.
