Sitrin Health Care Center, formerly known as the Sitrin Home, was founded in 1951 as a five-plus-bed residence for the senior citizens. Located in New Hartford, N.Y., it offers medical rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and respite and residential care services for individuals with developmental disabilities. The facility provides dental, child, and medically-affiliated adult day health care services. Sitrin Health Care Center also offers outpatient medical rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, pediatric and aquatic therapies, as well as speech and language pathology. It additionally provides specialized services for hand therapy, chiropractic, lymphedema, pain management, rheumatology, psychiatry and psychology and podiatry. Sitrin Health Care Center additonally supports an adaptive recreation and sports program that provides opportunities to participate in a variety of sports activities, including wheelchair road racing and curling, adaptive golf, mono-skiing and adaptive paddling for patients with various disabilities.
