Solis winery has been a working winery since the late 1920's. In 1980, the Vanni family purchased the land and has been running an award-winning winery ever since. David and Valerie Vanni originally ran the business with their family and friends helping out. Once their sons, Michael and Vic, were ready, they transferred the responsibilities to them. Since 2007, David and Valerie have been free to enjoy the fruits of their labor. You will often find them hanging out in the winery tasting room, chatting with guests, or strolling between the vines on a lovely day. Michael and Vic Vanni have inherited their parent's passion for creating extraordinary wines. Their attention to detail and extensive knowledge of current trends has lead to the creation of some of the region's best winesas evidenced by the increasing number of awards won each year. Additionally, they are constantly thinking of new events to host at the vineyard, and improvements that will enhance their guest's experience. Feel free to ask any questions you might have of these wine experts. They will gladly share their expertise and opinions of the best wines of the Gilroy area.
