As you will soon discover, New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church is a growing community of believers in Jesus Christ who seek to reach out with God s message of love to our community and world, inviting others to come into a living, dynamic relationship with our Lord. Through relevant worship, Bible centered teaching, compassionate Christian service, and warm, loving fellowship, our church family seeks to nurture and support believers in the Christian faith experience. Strong Christian Education, Youth Ministry, and Choir programs have been strengths of this congregation throughout the years as it strives to communicate our faith to the children and youth of our community. New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is the oldest German Lutheran congregation in the United States. We are located in beautiful Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. The congregation s facilities are nestled on forty plus acres of land which accommodate our 300 year old, air conditioned sanctuary, our modern education and program facilities, more than adequate parking, our well-maintained cemetery, our picnic grove, a ball field, and a basketball court. Please know that you are always welcome at New Hanover Evangelical Lutheran Church. Sunday Services are at 7: 30 a.m., 8: 30 a.m. and 10: 15 a.m. ( year round ). Sunday School for all ages is at 9: 00 a.m. ( also year round ). Nursery care is available at the late service on a self-service basis.
