A car repair place that listens to the customer? No way, really. It seems so simple, but when you have an older car with high mileage you dream of finding a car repair place that actually takes the time to find out what's wrong with your car and...wait for it... fixes it. These folks listened to us, and to our car. They fixed what we asked, (by the way these were the same problems the last "Volvo expert" could not quite figure out, but still charged a fortune for) They fixed the immediate problems we were having (stalling, running rough, lower mpg) and provided us with a list of things that should be done, when we had more time and more cash. Just what we asked for! The folks at American Auto & Import might just be that rare bird, the auto repair place that does what they say they will do for a reasonable price and with a great attitude.

I had a 1997 Blazer and now I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse and they have done work on both vehicles. They are honest and reliable. The owner and his wife are both there and very nice. The service is quick too.

So, yesterday my window fell into my door. Seriously. I came out from the bank, saw my window was gone, thought momentarily that someone had robbed me, realized the window had somehow moved to the bottom of the door, and immediately called American Auto and Import Repair. Because, of course, who wants to drive around in July in Arizona with no window? They told me to bring it by as soon as I could, and they would fix it. 1 hour later, I had my window back with no damage to the window and little damage to my pocketbook. These guys seem super-honest and do good work. Highly, highly recommended for someone looking for a good mechanic in Gilbert.

What a great place, brought my mercedes in, they were so less expensive than the dealer. I recommend this facility for all foreign cars if they want to save money.

It's always a pleasure to walk in to an auto repair shop, and feel welcome. Today I brought my 2005 Chevy Equinox in because the A/C compressor died. From the moment I walked in the door, I was met with a handshake, and a barking dog. I will be bringing the car back Wednesday for repair, and will highly recommend that if anybody wants to avoid the BS, and upsale tactics that most other shops seem to use, and get straight up, "this is what it is" service. OK, Once again these guys go above and beyond. By no fault of theirs, the A/C compressor took a dump. They got it in in one day, and took less than 2 hours to replace it. That's awesome, especially when it's record heat. Next job's brakes. I can't thank you all enough. Awesome service!!!
