Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Community Unit School District #5, located in Gibson City, Ill., is a public school district comprising Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Elementary School, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Middle School and GCMS High School. It provides education and enrichment services to students in grades kindergarten to 12. The programs offered in the elementary level include Title reading, math and language arts, Reading Recovery, reading improvement, and gifted classes. It additionally offers courses in English, fine arts, music, foreign languages, history and math. It also offers physical, health and driver's education programs. The district also provides a wide range of Career and Technical Education programs for the high school students. It also provides library and media centers, sports programs and various extracurricular activities. The district also offers special education programs for disabled students.
