General Info
Dr. Towne is a native of Memphis, TN. He graduated from Memphis State University and received his M.D. degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in Memphis. His internship, residency and gastroenterology fellowship were completed through the University of Tennessee in Memphis. Dr. Towne is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee. He is Chairman of the Board of MetroCare Physicians and a member of the Board of Governors of Health Choice. Currently, he also serves as a member of the Methodist-LeBonheur Healthcare Board of Governors. He has been in practice since 1983.
