Dr Lin told the front desk to run a pre-auth with my insurance for a bridge and an implant so I could see how much each would cost to help me decide whether to get a bridge or implant. A week later, they call me back to say they have a recent pre-auth for bridge (from Feb 2011). I asked about the implant and she said they have not submitted and I'd need to have a consult w/the implant specialist so he could give her the codes?? News to me. Made an appt for 11a they said it would be 30min appt.I told my boss the same&was expected back shortly after 11:30. I was called back at 1126a. Since the majority of my available appt was spent waiting,I had a VERY brief consult where I received no info on the benefits&extremely little info on the process.Seems to be a huge disconnect in information sharing(running the pre-auth, getting procedure codes, questions Dr.Tran was asking me that should be in my file, etc).It doesnt instill a lot of confidence&I dont feel like my time is valued.

He said that there is good bone there, so he wanted me to consider having an implant. He told Mirela to have the front desk run a pre-authorization through my insurance for both a bridge and an implant so that I could see how much the cost of each would be to help me decide. Mirela brought me up and told Geovanna the same. Geovanna said that they had a recent pre-auth for the bridge, but would need to run one for the implant. When I got back home, I found that I did not have a recent pre-auth for the bridge. I checked with my insurance company and the only recent pre-auth they had was for an occlusal guard. I called the dentist office back and advised them of this and said that it looked like they wou
