It provides various programs that focus on crime prevention, drug education, and safety and security for senior citizens. The Sheriff's Office also responds to 911 and nonemergency calls, as well as offers crisis intervention, mental health care, first-aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation services. Its narcotics unit is responsible for the investigation and suppression of narcotics activities through surveillance, undercover operations, and information gathering and analysis.
