- Swedish MassageMany times we have scar tissue in the body or other facial restrictions and so if the client is breathing and focused on relaxing that area of the body as we work it and the massage therapist is working slow enough and with the right amount of pressure, then the end results are amazing! People who get used to DT massage say they could never be satisfied with just a regular Swedish massage again.
- Deep Tissue MassageDeep Tissue Massage is a massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deeper pressure on the contacted areas. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue and fascia/muscular adhesions. In doing so range of motion is increased and lymphatic and circulatory flow is restored to the affected area. Deep tissue massage is both corrective and therapeutic.
- Sports MassageThe purpose of pre-event sports massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance by draining away fatigue, reducing muscle tension, and promoting flexibility.
- Hot Stone MassageThis is a fantastic way to add to an already relaxing service. If you love heat and just want an excuse to melt away all the tension in your shoulders and back you should try our hot stone massage. This is only a 90 min service because 60 min is never enough! We use a combination of techniques from placing the hot stones on the back while we massage other areas and also using the hot stones to actually massage the muscles. This massage is not for everyone but some people say it can be a bit of an out of body experience.
- Prenatal MassageA Pregnancy Massage relieves many of the normal discomforts during pregnancy, such as backaches, a stiff neck, leg cramps, headaches, edema, and sore, swollen ankles and feet. Pregnancy Massage can be a special treat for the mother to be, giving her time to relax and rejuvenate. For many women Pregnancy massage is an absolute necessity! Lots of women have back pain and other chronic conditions while pregnant and massage can be a great tool to help mitigate some of those conditions and symptoms. We help lots of women with sciatica, disc issues, plantar faciitis, and many other conditions through their pregnancy. The massage is done comfortably bolstered between body cushions. We are very often able to find ways to bolster the woman so she can be face down for the massage. Many women say they feel like we were able to make them feel not pregnant for a few moments of bliss.
- Full Body Massage6. I could write a book on the importance of client/therapist communication, but for now I can tell you that the best way to start off a massage is to let your therapist know what goals you have for the session. Maybe you woke up with a stiff neck and want to be able to turn your head, or you wore high heels to a conference and your low back is killing you. While both of these areas are part of a full body massage, informing your therapist of your discomfort will let them know how to best focus their time and energy.

- Myofascial TherapyMyofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle to heavy sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. We draw from a variety of modalities, including neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, shiatsu, reflexology, acupressure, advanced bodywork and structural massage. We take the time before every session to discuss your concerns and what you want out of a session, and decide together how to customize our work to match your needs.
