The Geneva Fire Department is comprised of the Hydrant Hose Company, Nester Hose Company and C.J. Folger Hook & Ladder Company. The department is staffed by more than 120 professional firefighters. It provides fire protection, emergency medical services, hazardous materials intervention, and technical and specialized rescue services to the citizens. The department is also responsible for conducting fire safety inspections in commercial occupancies and places of public assembly and conducting educational programs for the public. The Geneva Fire Department is a part of the city of Geneva, which also includes finance, police, recreation, engineering and public works departments. The fire department is located in Geneva, N.Y.
