Diagnostic

• Dental Examination
  As a new patient, your journey to optimal oral health begins with our comprehensive first visit at Mill Creek Dental Care. Dr. Skidmore personally oversees this initial appointment, conducting a thorough examination that includes a periodontal screening for gum disease and an oral cancer/head and neck examination. Additionally, we will take a full mouth set of digital radiographs, unless records have been transferred from a previous dental office, to establish a baseline view of each tooth.
• X-rays
  In most cases, records transfer means sharing of current dental x-rays. If you have had a full set of x-rays taken in the last 4 years or checkup x-rays in the last year, let us know. We can call for you but your previous office may require a release form be signed.

  All the staff is extremely professional and friendly. Alison is amazing and Jenell, the hygienist, does gentle cleaning. Dr Tim is knowledgeable and answers any and all questions.

  The aim of most dentistry is to appear as cosmetic as possible. There are many types of cosmetic Dentistry ranging from simple re-contouring and bonding procedures to implants and veneers. Dr. Skidmore likes to spend time with you to determine your wants and expectations before giving you several options. We feel that no matter how complex the case, a firm understanding of the procedure is the best path to excellent outcomes. A “cosmetic” result is what we strive for in all our work, so please bring us any and all of your cosmetic concerns. We will work with you to achieve the best solution for you.

  Erika joined the practice in 2021. She will be your coordinator for scheduling, insurance, and other financial questions. She is also a chair-side assistant and is involved in all aspects of patient care. She has been in the dental field since 1992 working in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, orthodontics, and periodontics.

  Jenelle joined the practice in 2012. She is a 2007 graduate of the College of DuPage dental hygiene program and has been in the dental field since 2003 working in general dentistry.
