South Maple Elementary School provides educational opportunities for more than 470 students in kindergarten through grade three. The school s curriculum includes reading, writing, math, music, language arts, computer technology and physical education. In addition, it administers the Title I program. South Maple Elementary School operates a parent-teacher organization that conducts meetings and conferences. The school operates a transportation department and offers social work opportunities. It also provides special education classes for gifted and talented students. South Maple Elementary School organizes various field trips and events, as well as serves lunch. The school is a part of Gaylord Community Schools, which governs several educational facilities.
