This Agency was the best kept secret in Gaston County. They have a program in Consumer Credit Counseling that can help modify your mortgage to a lower payment or consolidate your credit cards. My wife and I were in pre-foreclosure with Wells Fargo and these guys worked to lower our payments and save our home. I still have my home because of them. Best thing is, they're part of the United Way so the foreclosure prevention was FREE. My wife's credit card consolidation was only 40 bucks to sign up and they even got the amount owed reduced by about $7,000. This place also has other types of counseling for families and individuals at little or no cost. Fees with the other types of counseling are based on your income. I was amazed that a place like this even existed. So, I'm definately a fan.
