I am a repeat customer of buying a half beef from Hartland Abattoir. Last year was the first time and I was totally happy and satisfied with the quality and quantity of my purchase of beef. After being satisfied as a customer, I ordered another half for this year. I picked up my meat after paying $1200 for 341 lbs. of beef. Comparing by experience and sight the quantity from this to last year, I was very short on the amount of beef I paid for and what was brought home. After putting the meat in my freezer, it was obvious to the naked eye I was cut short on my order. I immediately called the owners back and told them about this problem and I felt that I only received a quarter after paying for a half. I was told to bring beef back and they would reweigh. Owner talked over me and justified amount and never reweighed, probably knowing he shorted me to increase profit margin. I was properly refunded but buyer beware that business can't be trusted for receiving what paid.
