Hatco makes western hats, including the world famous Stetson, Resistol, and Charlie 1 Horse, as well as Dobbs dress hats. The company is a subsidiary of Arena Brands, a company that outfits cowboys from head to foot. The company's subsidiary bootmaker Lucchese produces well-known boots of the same name. Arena also owns Imperial Headwear (golf and casual hats) and Montana Silversmiths (silver jewelry and western accessories). Arena Brands began as the maker of Resistol hats near Dallas in 1927. Investment firm HM Capital Partners and Fidelity have owned the company since 1992. Hatco has a location in Garland, Texas.
