Louis Lake Intermediate School, a part of the Garden Grove Unified School District, is a public institution that serves students in grades seven and eight. The school maintains a staff of a psychologist, language pathologist, nurse, librarian, community outreach specialist and counselor. Its academic curriculum includes English, math, science, history and physical education. The school also offers classes in vocal and instrumental music. Louis Lake Intermediate School conducts alcohol and tobacco prevention education seminars, programs for English language learners and school library improvement program. It additionally provides special education and after-school intervention classes and various yearly programs for its students. The school maintains a booster club, parent-teacher organization and student council that organize family nights, open house events and recreational activities.
