General Practitioners

• Electrocardiogram
  Cardiac Evaluation, which includes an Electrocardiogram, a Duplex Echocardiogram and an Echocardiogram Stress Test. No radioactive exposure or injections are necessary for this safe, non-invasive and accurate stress test. An arterial pulse oximetry test is also performed which indicates the oxygen saturation percentage in the arterial blood, a measure of respiratory function.

Winthrop-University Hospital is the hospital of my affiliation and I am an attending physician in the Internal Medical Department with privileges in Cardiology. My present positions include: Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the medical school of the State University of New York at Stonybrook, Life time Fellow of the American College of Physicians, member of the American College of Cardiology (NY Chapter), member of the New York Society of Internal Medicine, contributor and medical reviewer at AWARES and Community Nurse Health Center, and Founding Father of the NASSAU Academy of Medicine.
• Prostate Cancer
  A comprehensive blood test, including cholesterol triglycerides, HDL, direct LDL, metabolic profile (kidney and liver function, potassium calcium and other electrolytes plus evaluation for diabetes), thyroid function, homocysteine, C-reactive protein, sedimentation rate, hemoglobin and hematocrit. For males, a PSA determination for prostate cancer detection is included.
