I have to say I gave it a one star because I couldn’t give it a zero. This is my second time here. I walked in they directed me to the shellac colors and once I picked my color the overweight Asian says she ready to do my nails. I showed here a picture (I’m urban, we like thicker acrylic however I don’t want it crazy thick just with a slight hump) I said I don’t want it that thick but slightly humped. She then says angrily “we don’t do that) slightly irritated because my usual shop was booked up so they only could fit in a pedicure so I went here. I said ok if you can’t do it, just do it regular. She talks to the other Asian lady and says with thee most attitude “if you wanted this you should have call it in. Now, this is my second visit so how am I supposed to know your skill level is lacking it’s 2017 and you’re a nail tech someone needs to take some more classes I think. However, I asked what’s the attitude for and she states “I don’t want to do your nails”! Loud and unprofessionally. I said I wasn’t rude or disrespectful to you what’s the issue. She says you said you went to two shops. Really is it because I said I went to two shops or that your skills are so low you’re embarrassed. She continued to yell get out to me and really make a scene saying that’s why you not getting your nails did as if they’re the only shop. I have no idea how they’re still in business with them hiring they’re rude unprofessional family that’s driving paying customers away. I was even willing to take her mediocre skills and pay full price because the holidays but I’ll take my money elsewhere and I advise anyone and everyone who is especially urban to stay away. Run for another shop, they don’t respect you there. If they did why they owner who was conversing my nails with would have said something to diffuse her employee who’s clearly unhappy with not only her job but her health. If you do go here good luck

The worst ever expirience at Family Nails...My children had bought me a gift certifcate for $25.....I had forgotten about it....it was over a year old...The certificate did NOT have any expiration date on it!!!...I had been a long time customer for well over 5 years... After I had my nails done..I was informed by the owner Mimi that she would only honor my gift certifcate for half price...$12.50...Let this be a warning to anyone that purchases gift certificates from Family Nails...Not only was Mimi was disrespectful to a long time customer in front of the whole salon, she was also very dishonest...My family and friends will no longer go there for any services they render...Shame on Mimi and Kevin...very poor business practice...Warning go there at your own risk...

Everyone is wonferful. Definitely worth the wait... I have been going to family nails for years and never disappointed.

Called twice and tried to make an appointment on Friday, left on hold both times. Walked in on Saturday as soon as they opened. Sat there for an hour and a half and was asked if I could please come back at 4. That was fine although 90% of their clientele are walk-ins. It was mothersday so I had some running around to do. I called to say I was stuck on Ford rd and would be 3 minutes late and they wouldn't take me. I will never go to this place again!! Horrible customer service. I didn't mind sitting their and waiting, especially if I had known I would spend my mother's day without having my nails done...

The WORST service ever. Never enough help & always RUDE. Their products are garbage. I got my nail done with shelic & 2 cracked & peeled the very next day. I went in to fix & they are to busy to fix because there's only 2 people working. I call the owner 2 days after & her response is I'm too busy what u want me to do....really I paid u $30 & tipped for a bad job & very poor customer service!!!

Love this place I come 30 mins just to get my eyebrows nail and toes done wouldn't go anywhere else :)
