Founded in 1997, Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center serves more than 600 students. The school provides education in various subjects, such as keyboarding, technology, English, mathematics, science, social studies, art and physical education. It has several facilities, including a gymnasium, library, cafeteria, playground and computer lab. The school offers extracurricular classes in band, orchestra and vocal music. Its parent-teacher association volunteers various services to the school, including fund raising activities. The center organizes several activities, such as science fair, spelling bee, morning choir, family literacy and red ribbon week. Bernadine Sitts Intermediate Center is a part of Garden City Public Schools and is located in Garden City, Kan.
