As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Babu sees herself as not only a capable and comprehensive clinician, but also as a considerate patient advocate with emphasis on preventive medicine. Her practice will focus mainly on clinical care, as she wishes to be a guide to her patients through their ever-changing healthcare needs as they are transitioning into adult medicine, battling a chronic illness, or keeping up with their annual visits. Her focus will be on convenient patient care combined with tested up-to-date and current research-backed medical treatments. Her priority is to emphasize the importance of primary care at every stage of life and will work together with her patients to help them be their healthiest by offering annual physical exams, 3-D mammograms, bone density, cardiovascular, and cancer screening, as necessary. She is trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions. She is skilled in the management of multiple and complicated diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, as well as acute symptoms. Dr. Babu received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston. She has been recognized and awarded the Outstanding Clinic Award in Internal Medicine at UTMB, 2022. She is a member of professional organizations such as the American College of Physicians, American Medical Women’s Association, and the Texas Medical Association.
