My older brother was into martial arts for a very long time when he started to take classes with Sifu Onassis and he recommended I check the class out. I had little to no martial arts experience and went to view a class. I went through the warm ups with the class and learned a few basics while I was there still deciding. The atmosphere was great, I was welcomed in quickly, no one cared that I hadn't done anything before, it was friendly and focused. He was able to break down the concepts to an easily understandable level for a beginner without leaving out the subtleties. As I continued to take classes the depth of his knowledge about the style, his eagerness to share what he knows, and his dedication to helping his students improve really impressed me. His enthusiasm and love of what he teaches is obvious and infectious.-Great environment-Structured, personalized instruction-Emphasis on application-Experienced, professional instructor

Over the past four years my wife and I have had the good fortune of studying tai chi under Onassis Parungao."Sifu O's" knowledge of the external and internal martial arts is extensive, his execution is flawless and, most importantly, his willingness to work with each student on a one-on-one basis is exceptional. From "first principles" to "applications" he provides a wealth of material for the serious student.Over an expanse of several decades I have had a variety of martial arts instructors, some very good, some not so good. I would place Sifu Onassis at the very top.

This school is great! Onasis, the instructor, takes the time to go over problems each individual student may be having.

As person who love martial arts of all kind. I must admit that I had my doubts. So bad that it took me 3 years to even decide to visit Sifu Onassis parungao and his school. I was impressed in a phone conversation in which we both discuss traditional learning. It was at monument I discover that sifu Onassis parungao truly cared and valued what he taught.I would feel more welcome as he never once denounced any one style over another. He encourages his students to learn other styles. He does not offer a ranking system, which may intimidate people or give ego boost to others. He promotes an open structure where all are welcome old to young, men and women. Any question I had as well as others he gladly answered; so much that he would even be glad to demonstrate or work with us. Everyone is sincere and kind, given one the chance to express himself or herself.I have studied under sifu Onassis for 4 years now. I have had the chance to travel to china and study with others who comment on my fo

I studied under Sifu Onassis Parungao back in 2005. My focus at the time was Hung Gar, although we did include some Tai Chi exercises. What truly impressed me was the depth of knowledge and understanding that Sifu had about what he was teaching, and his willingness to share it. If you were willing to put in the time and the energy, Onassis would give you as much knowledge and guidance as you could handle. There was a strong focus on understanding where the strength came from in the forms, and why the parts that might have seemed strange were truly important and useful. If you're in the area, I don't think you could find a better instructor.

I've been training at Cheng Yee for a few years now. Sifu Onassis, is very knowledgeable in what he teaches. He is very honest and upfront about material as well. Classes are on the smaller side, so you get alot of attention, interaction. Everyone there is friendly with each other, nobody holds back.

Dear Readers,I first discovered Cheng Yee Kung Fu School through Google no doubt, and must say I was so happy I made the choice to call and find out more about this school. As a young woman I was unsure where to look for marital arts training. I thought I would be turned away, or looked at as crazy because I was so determined to train. Sifu Onassis Parungao is the owner and teacher of Cheng Yee Kung Fu School. I spoke to him over the phone in October of 2008 and he convinced me to come down to a group class and see how I liked it. Onassis teaches Hung Gar and Tai Chi, at the time I was more interested in Hung Gar. When I got to his place it was very homey, friendly, and comfortable. Himself and all of his students (who all happened to be males) were nothing but friendly and professional towards me. Each student had the look of desire on their face as the went through the warm ups and forms you could really tell they enjoyed what they were doing. One thing I really appreciated about Ona

This is a first rate real deal school. The head Instructor does not waist time in teaching actual martial arts applications. He shares his knowledge openly and without the bribery of a belt once you paid for a contract. You get what you give. FYI ? this is not an aerobics class, this is traditional martial arts.
