Gainesville High School is a public institution that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. More than 1,100 students are enrolled in the school. The institution also takes part in national college fairs that is a free program for the public and allows students to interact with admission representatives from a range of postsecondary institutions. The students are offered discussions on course offerings, admission and financial aid requirements, college life and other information relating to the college selection process. The school also offers a variety of sports activities, including, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, wrestling, volleyball and track and field. The school is affiliated to the Gainesville City School System.
