- Primary CareAt Pediatric Associates we participate in many managed care plans and see patients with private insurance. See the detailed list of plans below for your reference. If your particular insurance is not listed below, please contact your insurance company to verify if Pediatric Associates is in network. Many plans require that you make a copayment at the time of your visit. To make it as easy as possible for you, we accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards at our offices. If copayment is not paid at the time of service, there will be an additional $25.00 fee. We also have in house billing specialists who can answer many of your insurance questions. If you are on an HMO, please make sure you list us as your Primary Care Physician.

- ImmunizationsATTENTION: Group Health or Private Insured Patients Please contact your insurance company prior to your visit to discuss your well-care benefits. Please do not rely on Pediatric Associates for this information, as most insurance requirements are different. Also, please ask your insurance carrier if they provide coverage for immunizations, as you will be required to sign a waiver of responsibility prior to your child's check-up. If your insurance carrier does not provide coverage for immunizations, and we are notified prior to administration, we will be able to provide these at a discounted cost to you. However, we are unable to make adjustments after the service has been provided.

- RadiologyPediatric Associates was established in beautiful Gainesville, Georgia. Doctor Martin Smith was our founding physician. He set the high standard of care that our providers practice by today. He was the first AAP president from the state of Georgia. Dr. Smith was also one of the original staff members for the Hall County Hospital when the doors opened in 1951. The hospital kept that name until 1976 when it would become Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The hospital was cultivated from the love and dedication of the physicians, nurses and of the community it served. When the hospital first opened the physicians would often take their own instruments from the office with them to treat the patients in the hospital. There were not any specialty departments such as Radiology, Anesthesiology or even ER physicians. Dr. Smith would even make house calls at times. Dr. Smith has been recognized nationally for his efforts in increasing the vaccination rate of infants and children across the country. When the need for pediatric care grew in North Georgia and the surrounding area Dr. Smith added Dr. R.Lowell Peacock and Dr. Charles Jones.
