Scott Robinson, MD is an assistant professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Therapy at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Robinson earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, magna cum laude from Union College in Schenectady, NY and his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. He earned his MD from Emory University School of Medicine. Most recently, he completed an integrated Vascular Surgery residency at the University of Michigan. During his residency he also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the National University of Ireland Galway.Among other honors, Dr. Robinson has been awarded the Greenfield Research Award at the University of Michigan and a seed grant from the American Medical Association. He also served as an EDGE - Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at the Advanced Materials and BioEngineering Research (AMBER) Center in Galway, Ireland from 2017 to 2019. Dr. Robinson's clinical interests encompass a broad spectrum of vascular disease including abdominal aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, and cerebrovascular disease. His research interests include development of biomaterials and drug delivery systems for treatment of various arterial and venous pathologies. Dr. Robinson is a member of the Association of Academic Surgery, the American Heart Association, the Society for Vascular Surgery the American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Robinson also has an interest in innovation and commercialization of medical devices and has submitted several patents.
