Founded in 1970, Oak Hall School is an independent, college preparatory school that provides a range of educational and extracurricular programs for more than 740 students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. It operates a 44-acre campus that includes a gymnasium, playing fields, classrooms, and computer and science laboratories, as well as a theater, art and photography center. Oak Hall School offers classes in English, language arts, history, science, mathematics and foreign languages. It participates in a range of sports activities, such as soccer, volleyball, cross-country, swimming, football, basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, lacrosse, and track and field. The school operates chess, board games, vocal and cinema clubs. It is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. Additionally, the school administers art, music, drama, and visual and performing arts programs. Oak Hall School maintains a presence in Gainesville, Fla.
