Lara, Dakhoul, MD, MSCR, is an assistant professor of Medicine in the division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition. Dr. Dakhoul received her medical degree from the Lebanese University in Lebanon where she completed her Internal Medicine internship. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She dedicated two years for Clinical Research at Indiana University. During this time, she also obtained her Masters of Science in Clinical Research degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana.Dr. Dakhoul is board-certified by American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine. She is board-eligible in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She is a member of Florida Gastroenterology Society, American Society for Gastroenterological Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association and American College of Physicians. Her clinical interest includes endoscopy, general GI, general Hepatology and IBD.
