Dr Cibula holds the BJ and Eve Wilder Professorship in Epilepsy at the University of Florida. Dr. Wilder is a retired longtime University of Florida faculty member from the Department of Neurology and the Gainesville VA Medical Center who performed pioneering research in epilepsy pharmaceuticals and epileptogenesis. She grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University and was trained in epilepsy and behavioral neurology at the University of Florida. She was on the faculty at the University of Kentucky as well as in private practice in Columbus, Ohio prior to her move back to the University of Florida.Dr Cibula is a fellow of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society and the American Epilepsy Society, and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, and has served on the board of the Florida Society for Neurology. She has served as an officer of the UF College of Medicine Faculty Council since 2012. She also serves as the medical director for the UFHealth Neurodiagnostics Laboratory.
