Ellen Satteson, MD, is an assistant professor and plastic surgeon in the University of Florida Department of Surgery. Dr Satteson earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her integrated plastic surgery residency at Wake Forest School of Medicine. She also completed a hand and upper limb fellowship at Stanford University.Dr. Satteson is a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and has been a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society since 2011. In addition to completing multiple medical mission trips to areas such as Moldova, Bolivia and the Dominican Republic, Dr. Satteson is current member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Young Members Steering Committee, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Diversity Committee and the American Society of Plastic Surgery Curriculum Development Committee, among other affiliations.In 2016, Dr. Satteson was awarded the Wake Forest Plastic Surgery Resident Research Award, and in the same year she also won the American Society for Surgery of the Hand Annual meeting Scholarship.
