Founded in 1970, Eastside High School provides classes to students in grades nine through 12. It offers degree programs in a wide range of subjects, which include art, science, social studies, mathematics, English, life management skills, physical education and electives. It also offers various credentials and diploma options, which includes standard diplomas, certificate of completion, special diploma and special certificate of completion. Eastside High School also offers independent magnet programs, such as Institute of Culinary Arts, Academy of Entrepreneurship and the International Baccalaureate programs. It offers a wide range of sports, such as football, volleyball, girls and boys cross country, golf and swimming, and it has varsity and junior teams. It also offers a variety of student organizations and clubs, including Brian Bowl team, Young Democrats and Young Republicans. Eastside High School is located in Gainesville, Fla.
