I recently bought a new home. American First Mortgage was recommended to me by my realtor. I was very impressed. My loan officer kept me informed every step of the way. While not always immediately available when I called, she ALWAYS returned my call the same day. I feel like I got the best rate and service. I have bought homes before and this was the best experience ever. My hat's off to the support staff as well. They really know their stuff! I would recommend American First Mortgage to anybody I know.

We recently got a home loan through this company. It was one of the worst experiences with a vendor EVER. It started out fine -- the owner of the company walked us through the loan application and was friendly, answered lots of questions we had. From then on, it went downhill. His associate (the paper pusher) was uncommunicative at best and rude and off putting at the worst. He had a demanding attitude and tried to blame his laziness on the bank. It took us 23 days from the time the application was submitted to the day we closed. Closing was pushed back twice. We would call for a status update only to reach his voicemail. He never answered one email. During this whole process, the owner was MIA. There are other BETTER mortgage places out there. Stay away from this one unless you've got lots of time and patience.
