The Department of Pathology participates in the care of almost every St. Jude Medical Center patient, using advanced testing and expert analysis to help accurately identify and treat disease. By detecting abnormalities in organs, cells and body fluids, the department plays a critical role in the excellence of numerous medical specialties, from oncology to neurology. Our board certified pathologists’ reputation for unusual quality has made the department a referral center for other hospitals, outside physicians, and patients seeking a second opinion.
