- Family PracticeHe has been actively involved in academics both in teaching medical students and residents, and in clinical research. He is a Volunteer Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Immunology Division of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and is a volunteer faculty at the St Elizabeth Medical Center Family Practice Residency Program. Dr Villareal is currently working in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati Department of Environmental Health, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine-Immunology Division, and Cincinnati Childrens Hospital and Medical Center-Allergy/Immunology Division in the Cincinnati Childhood Asthma and Air Pollution Study(CCAAPS) which has produced several peer-reviewed publications in major medical journals. Dr Villareal is also involved in several clinical drug trials which helps bring new breakthrough therapies to the general public. He has been recognized by Cincinnati Magazine as one of the Top Doctors in Greater Cincinnati since 2010.
