- EpilepsyThe National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) has designated The Virginia Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Winchester Medical Center as a Level 4 Epilepsy Center. This is the highest level available to be awarded to treatment centers. Our treatments include anti-seizure medications, vagal nerve stimulation, responsive neuro-stimulation, epilepsy surgery, and modified diet programs for all ages.

Sophisticated inpatient services are supported by an array of outpatient services including imaging, wound care and rehabilitation. WMC is the only Level II Trauma Center in the region and serves as the tertiary services hub for the Shenandoah Valley corridor and surrounding counties. The North Tower opened in 2012 and features an expanded Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units and Newborn ICU, plus two shell floors ready for future expansion.
