If I could give a negative 5 stars, I would. Please do not let this woman touch your hair! I'd hate for anyone else to go through what I experienced!!!

My experience was with Joy Hunt at Venus Salons in Frisco. I wanted her to keep the same color I usually have done at my old stylist, had to find a new stylist because I just moved into this area. I wanted to change the front to frame my face, but keep my length, which was mid-way down my back. I knew it needed about a 2 inches trimmed off. My coloring was very chunky platinum blonde highlights with chocolate brown peeking out about an inch below underneath.

First, Joy chopped all my hair off, it barely covers my neck. The highlights are light blonde slices, so I've got huge areas of my natural dark hair showing, with some of my old highlights glaring out several inches down. The back of my hair is mostly a dark color with a few highlights that end several inches above it.

After I got over the shock of losing all my length, I set up an appointment to have her fix the color. Not only did she refuse to redo her mistakes for free, she proceeded to talk to me as if I were some ignoramus who couldn't understand that she'd done it exactly perfect. I now realize the reason my hair turned out so badly is because 1) She doesn't LISTEN to what the client is telling her and 2) She has no clue how to do her job! I've been getting my hair colored for around 20 years and have never had this kind of problem, even when I used a different stylist. All she had to do was look at what my old stylist did with the coloring and copy it. Yes, it had grown out a couple of inches, but the pattern and colors were still true.

Another odd thing she did was cut my hair before coloring it. Two things that I hated about this. 1) I had to set there and try not to burst into tears & control my anger at losing all my length for the rest of the time it took her to color & highlight. 2) She charged me the price for coloring and highlighting LONG hair!!!

I probably would have written this experience off to miscommunication, but my friend went back with me the second time. She even tried to explain to Joy what I was trying to tell her. I was so sorry I'd asked my friend to come along because Joy was so RUDE to her! It was a nightmare! We've both had stylist that messed up before. They're human, too, and we all have bad days. But, they've always kindly repaired and fixed our hair in a professional manner at no cost. This was just so totally bizarre I felt it was my civic duty to warn anyone else considering going to her salon. I sure do wish someone had posted a review for me to see before I paid this woman to ruin my hair.

These ladies are truly artists of excellence. My daughter had her wedding hair and makeup done here. We could not be happier with the results as well as the pampering she received.
