My experience with the Salvation Army has been horrible. I called and arranged with the Dispatcher to pick up my donation of one couch, 2 love seats, a 2 door file cabinet, and 2 dining room chairs. The pick up day was to be Saturday. No show on Saturday. I received a telephone message on Monday stating that they had come by, on Monday, and no one was home. I called the Dispatcher to say that we were told the pick up would be on Saturday, not Monday. He apologized, and scheduled another pick up for Friday. No show on Friday. I called the Dispatcher, he said they were closed and the truck had returned for the day, but that the truck would pick up my things the next day, Saturday. No one arrived on Saturday. Evidently this Salvation Army Dispatcher doesn't care that a potential donator is "stood up" for 3 days. There has not been a call back or any type of contact regarding this deplorable action. Thumbs down on the Salvation Army!!!

This store is one of my favorites! Always clean, friendly staff, tons of stuff at super cheap prices...and their sale days make things even cheaper! It's also supporting a great cause :)
Salvation Army Thrift Store in Fresno on Blackstone Avenue is a nice store to shop at. The staff is helpful and friendly! The products are nice! I lile the books, clothes, furniture, and jewelry and nic-nacs. They have quite a selection in clothes and books. Something for everybody! They help out the poor also! Thankyou Salvation Army!!

Provided by YP.comNice items but expensive. Older furniture treated like Antiques that are in the $75-300.00 range.....no bargains in the furniture department. Willing to sell items they know are not complete or in working order "as is" so beware and test before leaving the store. Clothes not organized by size/style so plan on spending some time if you are looking for specific items. But on a good note, it goes to a good cause so maybe people don't mind buying expensive used items. :-)
