General Info
Fresno's Classic Dinning Experience , Serving Quality Steaks and Seafood Since 1969.Richard Stockle opened Richard's Prime Rib & Seafood on Belmont Ave. in downtown Fresno in the summer of 1969, and original plans called for a beer bar, a couple of pool tables and offered some gaming on the side. When expenses came to be too much during preparations, the entrepreneur decided to scratch the orginal plans and turn the establishment into a restaurant. Richard's became a Fresno hotspot for its juicy steaks and fresh seafood. Richard's is a true family-run restaurant. Richard's grandson Ben remembers Thanksgivings spent at Richard's when he was a kid, when the Stockle family would shut the business down for the holiday occasion. Ben now serves as the restaurant's Vice President and C.O.O. Val Stockle his wife serves as the General Manager.Fresno's Classic Dinning Experience , Serving Quality Steaks and Seafood Since 1969.Richard Stockle opened Richard's Prime Rib & Seafood on Belmont Ave. in downtown Fresno in the summer of 1969, and original plans called for a beer bar, a couple of pool tables and offered some gaming on the side. Who says you can't go home again. Went back to Richard's with family last nite. Same great food and service. The old place cleaned-up very good. Hope all the old Richard diners will return. and keep this wonderful restaurant open.

Richards is open agian! The orignal owner Richard has re opened it. The food is better than ever and the renovations are great.
We spent the evening here having dinner with our 3 kids. The ambiance was wonderful, our server(who's name I wish I had gotten) was very personable and accommodating, she checked on us just enough to make sure all our needs were met but not enough to bother our family dinner. And the food was absolutely outstanding. The oyster's on a half shell were to die for. We also paid the 10.00 for the 25.00 dining certificate and had no problem using it. We definitely recommend Richard's and will be back again. Thanks for taking such good care of us, we had a wonderful dining experience. My children are already asking when we can eat there again. The Day Family
I was visiting Fresno for few days with my family. We did stop by at Richard's Prime Rib place...Food was great no question...prices above moderate not a problem too but there is something i would like to comment on ...They offer online $25 Dining Certificate (taxes, tips, specials are not included) for $10 if your order exceeds $40. I didn't print it out thinking that with two minor kids it will not exceed $40. Once there I figure out that we would exceed $40 order so i did mention about certificate and first reaction was they have no idea about online offer, after finding out with owner they come up with an excuse by not being in capacity to print it out so ....bottom line they didn't gave as a break....I was sincere enough to leave a tip on $94 tab because I my self work in servicing business and own one....after all servicing is the only thing that drives our economy....KevinLos Angeles
