Fresno City Public Works Department provides programs and services for the design, construction and maintenance of public infrastructure. The department operates through several divisions, including capital management, developer doorway, engineering services, permits, street and traffic operations. Its construction management division provides construction inspection, surveying and contract administration of all projects constructed within and upon public property in the city of Fresno in California. Its developer doorway division is a knowledge base of information and tools for standardizing plan submittals to provide technical resources, and for delivering reliable and timely status updates for the development of the community. The department s street maintenance division is responsible for maintenance of city streets, concrete repair and drainage work, including road striping, maintaining of traffic signs and street lights, tree trimming and removal, and addressing service requests.
