Dental cleanings are performed under general anesthesia by our technicians using a safe ultrasonic scaler to remove tartar from the teeth and then polish the teeth thoroughly. Once your pet’s teeth are clean, we can give you tips and tricks to help you remove food particles and plaque at home between professional pet dental cleanings.

- Small Animal SurgeryDr. Zimmerman joined Westview Veterinary Hospital in 2001 as an associate veterinarian. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 from The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2005, Dr. Zimmerman bought into the practice as a partner, and by 2010 he became the sole owner of Westview Veterinary Hospital and Lakeshore Veterinary Hospital in 2013. He divides his time as a veterinarian between small animal surgeries, with a focus in orthopedics and ACL repair, Equine reproduction and lameness, and preventative medicine. Professionally, he is a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.
