We used J&A for the second time. The first was to shut off our system and do a back flow valve inspection. There were no problems. After Sandy our box went under water and the estimate was $375 and to start up the system was $60. The workman came on time replaced the box and I was asked if I wanted to have a leak in the line fixed. I agreed to this expecting a bill of perhaps $50 to $100. When the work was done I was handed a bill of $665 and a !0 1/2 inch piece of hose. I thought they were out of their mind and complained and they gave me a $25 dollar discount to $640. I handed them a check and before I could get a receipt from them they wre gone. My neighbor had also asked them to look at her sprinkler system and he told me he wouldn't walk across the street unless he got a $65 charge. I called the company to get a receipt and complain about the charge for the hose repair to be told their prices are competitive and hose and clamps are expensive (usurious) . YOU BE THE JUDGE
