Established in 1970, Germanna Community College is a publicly owned institute of higher education that provides two-year programs in various subjects. The college serves the residents of Caroline, Culpeper, King George, Madison, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford counties in Virginia. Germanna Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The college maintains a 76,000-square-foot building that includes a library, student lounge and bookstore, as well as classrooms, laboratories and administration offices. It additionally operates other facilities that include tennis courts, playing fields, nature trails, jogging paths and picnic areas. The college additionally operates the Germanna Center for Advanced Technology. Germanna Community College maintains one of its locations in Fredericksburg, Va.
