We took our car here for a simple inspection but ended up with SO many problems in the process. The car needed a simple repair (CV boot replacement) so we trusted this place to perform the work. After the repair was completed and the inspection passed, we went to drive away and my husband's arm found that the uphoulstery of the arm rest was saturated in used motor oil. Perplexed how this even happened, we went back in and they had to take it back to clean it. Then when we got to the MVA with our inspection slip, the VIN number was written incorrectly on it so we had to return to Tool In Hand to get a correct inspection slip then stand in line again at the MVA. We ALL know how much fun that must have been and how much time was wasted. Well, time went on... months later after driving miles and knowing no one else has done any work on the car, the axle fell off while my daughter was driving it. !!! Yup, you read that right...the axle fell off! Now how would that happen? The person who replaced the CV boot at Tool In Hand didn't tighten the bolt correctly. We are thankful that our kid wasn't killed because she was stopped at a light when it fell off. If she was driving at speed at the time the accident, I am certain that it would have been horrific! AND as I type this, my husband is trying to take the lug nuts off and discovered that they are tightened WAY too tight! So, after hours in the garage with his impact wrench and breaker bar, he is getting them loose and also found that they are cross threaded! Thanks Tool in Hand for that stellar performance of destroying our car, trying to kill our kid and wasting a whole lot of our time!
