What a refreshing bike shop!! As a female biker I was constantly frustrated with bike shops that that treated me like I wasn't a serious rider or worse yet talked to my boyfriend instead of me directly. Then I found The Bicycle Escape. On my first visit, Tom talked to me and asked what I wanted. They treated me with the same respect they'd give to a male cyclist. They also didn't try to sell me anything with flowers on it. I was hooked. They have fixed all my bikes at this point and I know I can count on them to help me figure out what components are best for my needs. I travel 45 min to get there, it's Well worth the trip! I can't recommend them highly enough, particularly to female riders!

I went to Tom for a little while and he's a nice guy and his employees are really friendly. His shop is mostly Mountain Bike oriented but has a nice selection of road bikes. He is honest with the customers. However, my last experience was not as pleasant as I hoped. When I asked him about ordering a product, he told me "Not Possible". I understand that he didn't work with it but I don't think that is something to say to a customer. He is also a little pricey and so I went to another shop where I was able to get the product I needed and they charged less for doing a repair than what Tom has charged me in the past. He still has a good shop and would recommend it. It's a nice small family owned shop.

Notably good service experience - I would go back to these guys in a heartbeat.

You can tell when you walk in that this is family owned, they were friendly and helpful. With many clients in the shop they were able to answer you questions and make you feel like it was just you. Repaired my bike, fast and cheap! I will visit them again for all my bike needs.
